Early Head Start Program

Early learning, health and family well-being services for infants 6 weeks to age three, including services to pregnant women provided in their homes. Early Head Start programming also includes socialization opportunities for infants, toddlers and caregivers.

Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships

Partnering with licensed Family day care centers in Hidalgo County, the program supports and enhances comprehensive services to families and children providing access to high-quality full day, full year child care.

Parent Child Education Program (PCEP)

PCEP is AVANCE’s core foundational program. This program teaches parents how to become their child’s first teacher and how to ensure that the home is the first classroom. Families enrolled with AVANCE Head Start/Early Head Start are eligible to take part in parenting curriculum which includes nine themes associated with developmentally appropriate activities that build on in-home instruction.
