Celebrando 50 años de familias AVANCE

Una celebración de AVANCE solo estaría completa honrando a las familias que han entregado su confianza en nosotros y nos han permitido acompañarlos a ellos en sus caminos. Nuestras familias son la fuerza impulsora detrás de nuestra misión, y sus historias ilustran el profundo impacto de AVANCE en innumerables vidas desde 1973. Aquí puede leer las historias inspiradoras de familias que se han graduado de nuestro Programa de Educación para Padres e Hijos (PCEP) en los últimos 50 años.

Maria Guadalupe Rivera

After attending a meeting about the AVANCE to College program, Maria Guadalupe Rivera enrolled with her youngest daughter, not realizing it would change the trajectory of her life.

In 1978, Kristina Olveda was new to San Antonio and without much of a social circle. But after a friend told her about an AVANCE program for kids, she went to the AVANCE office to learn more.

Gael and Cristina Rodriguez married in 2014, and that same year, Cristina enrolled in the AVANCE Early Head Start (EHS) program while pregnant. That would be the start of the Rodriguez family’s journey with AVANCE.
