AVANCE Launches New Partnership with Rio Grande City Grulla ISD

Rio Grande City — We are excited to announce a new Dual Enrollment Partnership between AVANCE and Rio Grande City Grulla ISD (RGCGISD)! This partnership brings Head Start classrooms into the district, expanding access to the program and providing local families with more options to choose what works best for them. 

Beginning this fall, children and families in RGCGISD can now receive comprehensive Head Start services directly on their school district campus through the new RGCGISD–AVANCE Early Start Academy. The new dual enrollment model is not only more convenient for families, but it also creates continuity for children in the program, helping them transition smoothly from early learning to K–12 education. 

Classes at the Early Start Academy are already underway, and we look forward to the success of this new partnership with RGCGISD. We are also grateful to Board President Veronica Barrera, Principal Lorena Treviño, and AVANCE Deputy Director Susie Araiza for leading this important moment and helping bring this collaboration to life.
