4th Annual AVANCE Two-Generation Learning Conference Returns to San Antonio August 27-29, 2025

AVANCE educators from across Texas gather for three days of learning, collaboration, and community.

SAN ANTONIO — AVANCE, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to walking alongside children and families and building thriving communities, will welcome more than 200 educators and staff from across Texas to the fourth annual AVANCE Two-Generation Learning Conference, taking place Wednesday, August 27 – Friday, August 29, 2025, at The Westin San Antonio North.

For over 50 years, the Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP) has been the heart of AVANCE’s two-generation approach. While parents engage in research-informed learning on parenting, child development, and community resources, their children participate in a developmentally stimulating early learning environment.

The Two-Generation Learning Conference prepares PCEP educators with knowledge, tools, and strategies that help families thrive.  The three-day event will feature interactive workshops, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities that will strengthen attendees’ ability to support children’s development and empower caregivers on their journeys to economic mobility, educational success, and beyond.

“The Two-Generation Learning Conference is about more than professional development. It’s about connection and collaboration and shared learning,” said Norma Vargas, AVANCE Director of PCEP. “Our educators leave with renewed energy, new strategies, and stronger partnerships to walk alongside families as they work toward their goals and a brighter future.”

The conference kicks off on Wednesday, August 27 with orientation and training for new staff, followed by two days of interactive workshops, panels, and sessions. The AVANCE Roundup Reception on August 28 will welcome attendees with a western-themed celebration of community, music, and fun.
