AVANCE-North Texas Celebrates Graduation Across Generations

AVANCE-North Texas recently celebrated one of the most meaningful moments of the year: graduation. The event was a chance to recognize the effort and growth of every family in the AVANCE-North Texas community.

One of the most emotional moments of the event was hearing the powerful testimony of Ángel Gael Campos, who has been part of AVANCE since he was two years old, alongside his mother, Irasema, through the Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP). This year, Ángel graduated from Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet and will continue his education at the United States Military Academy, where he plans to study American Politics and Civil Engineering.

His journey is truly inspiring! Ángel was accepted into 33 universities, received multiple full-ride scholarship offers, earned a four-year Army ROTC scholarship, and was also recruited to play baseball at the collegiate level. His story is a powerful example of what’s possible through family commitment, hard work, and access to opportunities that change lives.

The graduation was also a celebration of the journey each student and family has taken to reach this milestone. Watching participants grow reminds us that the work done every day has an impact that reaches across generations.
