Desde septiembre del 2019, AVANCE-Austin ha participado en el Equipo de Estrategia Comunitaria para el estudio integral de la Universidad de Texas (UT), Comunidades Integrales - Salud Integral (WCWH).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 7 de febrero, la Directora del Programa, Zobeida Guerrero, y la Coordinadora del Programa, Juliana Rodr\u00edguez, aceptaron el premio \"La Luz Gu\u00eda\" en nombre de AVANCE-Austin. Este premio fue otorgado en reconocimiento al apoyo constante y la orientaci\u00f3n invaluable del cap\u00edtulo, que ha influido significativamente en la direcci\u00f3n de la iniciativa WCWH de UT. La ceremonia de premiaci\u00f3n tuvo lugar en el campus de UT durante un simposio de investigaci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maggie Jaime, Directora Ejecutiva de AVANCE-Austin, afirm\u00f3: \u201cNuestra participaci\u00f3n en el Equipo de Estrategia Comunitaria asegura que las voces y experiencias de las familias que servimos est\u00e9n representadas en investigaciones que moldean pol\u00edticas y recursos en relaci\u00f3n con los Determinantes Sociales de la Salud. Nuestra experiencia organizacional en la respuesta cultural, particularmente dentro de las comunidades latinas, ayuda a asegurar que las soluciones est\u00e9n informadas por los verdaderos desaf\u00edos y fortalezas de nuestra comunidad.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los investigadores de UT WCWH han realizado un estudio de cohorte de 5 a\u00f1os, recopilando datos sobre los determinantes sociales de la salud mientras interact\u00faan con los residentes del condado oriental de Travis, enfoc\u00e1ndose en comunidades que tienen acceso limitado a recursos y enfrentan disparidades de salud.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otras organizaciones que colaboran en el proyecto incluyen la Coalici\u00f3n Comunitaria para la Salud, la Coalici\u00f3n Comunitaria de Del Valle, la Escuela Intermedia Ojeda, WIC y el Centro de Bienestar Infantil de UT.
