A Special Thanksgiving Message from AVANCE

Posted on November 24th, 2010 in Announcements

Did you know that with every holiday dollar you spend, you can help other families in need? Thanksgiving is almost here. This is a time in which we give thanks and lend a helping hand to those in need. In addition to providing parenting and early childhood education to low-income Hispanic families, this Thanksgiving AVANCE and its supporters will be sharing almost 100 turkeys and over 1000 turkey dinners with some of our neediest families.

We are also sharing something with you; the AVANCE, Inc. Toolbar. We have teamed up with GoodSearch.com and GoodShop.com to continue helping you throughout the year. Once added to Internet Explorer or Firefox, each time you shop 30% of your purchase will automatically be donated to AVANCE at no cost to you. The toolbar also includes a Yahoo and Bing-powered search box and each time you search the Internet, approximately one penny is donated to AVANCE.

Through GoodShop.com, consumers are helping their favorite causes by shopping at more than 1,600 well known retailers including Amazon, Target, Apple, Macy’s, Best Buy, Orbitz, Staples and others. The shopping experience and the prices are exactly the same as going to the retailer directly, but by going through GoodShop, you can help AVANCE families at the same time. This can come in handy for Cyber Monday! Click here for the AVANCE, Inc. toolbar!

This is truly a form of philanthropy that works for everyone in this tough economy. More than 94,000 nonprofits and schools are now registered with GoodSearch and GoodShop and more than 100 organizations are registering daily. Some of which include: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation which has earned nearly $15,000; the ASPCA which has raised more than $35,000; and The National Inclusion Project which supports children with disabilities and has earned more than $14,000. Click here to get your AVANCE, Inc. toolbar!

Please pass this along to all of your friends. The two minutes it takes to add this toolbar to your browser can make a lifetime of difference.
